Jen, it's the Eames fiberglass rocker. The Eames (a husband and wife team) were American, although Finnish designer Eliel Saarinen (Eero's father) was a great influence on their work - which may be what you're thinking of.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE that chair!a friend of mine has two of them - and I really love it to sit in this chair while I have her little 2 year old daughter sitting on my knees when we read a book...someday I will have one of this chairs too...and the barcelona chair with old brown vintage leather is on my wishlist too... ;o)
