Another couple of the birds that my mum photographed for me at her house in Woodstock.
I love this one's full-throated song. That always makes my heart swell when I see it.

I love watching birds, there's a bunch of them that gather up around our porch in the morning. They just are - so free - alive. They make me smile and appreciate life more. There's a bunch of crows that started gathering recently, too - they are hilarious to watch. Especially when they walk.

Tina, that's very eloquent...exactly how I feel when I stop to look closely on a songbird. They are life-affirming.

The little Bewick's Wren (lower picture) is one of my favorites. They weem to try and fill up the space around them with their song, as if to impress the passerby that though tiny, they are mighty in their own esteem...
