Tuesday

On a recent, ridiculously beautiful high-plains afternoon, Q and I were out for a stroll when we found this amazing wall in a part of Denver that I believe is called Sunnyside.
Next to the wall was an amazingly cool car which, while it has no doubt seen better days, was equally as photogenic. Needless to say, we couldn't resist.
"I don't know?"
Insert your own end to that sentence:
"I don't know why this car has a flat tire."
"I don't know what's wrong with the transmission."
"I don't know who shot out the window..."

I think she's "raising the roof" here.
Incidentally, I didn't intensify the colors in any of these pictures. In fact, for some of them I actually decreased the saturation in Photoshop, because they were so unbelievably lurid. I was shooting with my little Coolpix, which is the only camera I take out on runs, so as not to do any more damage to the big Nikon.
I think it was a combination of the bright colors and the near-sunset light that resulted in the vivid look of these shots.

Admiring the graffiti artist's handiwork. She looks pretty impressed.
Trying to get the car started? Or possibly trying to steal that nice, shiny bumper. It would look pretty sweet in her room...

Love the colors and textures in these pictures, and, as always, little QQ's incredibly alert cuteness
