I love her little bell! Is there a story behind that?

Oh, that dress is ADORABLE but still not as fetching as the cherub that wears it.

Thanks, friends! Though I of course cannot take credit for her adoreableness. That is down to her birth parents, to whom I am eternally grateful on so many levels.

John, the bell is actually the reindeer bell from Polar Express (the book was written by one of my mother's neighbors in upstate NY). Since we bought our house some three-ish years ago, it has hung on the ancient door knob of our front door, serving as an early-warning system in case of imaginary intruders. Q loves to take it down and wear it as a bracelet.

Walternatives, the dress is one of mine from the mid-sixties. Beautifully-made an crinolined (though still, as you say, not quite as beautiful as the girl who wears it). She is already too big for it (since she is the size of a 3-year-old at just over 2) so I had to hurry and take some photos while I can still get it over her head and shoulders.

I love her outfit. I wish my mum had kept some of my dresses. The colors were so vivid back then ! I love how you mixed the style with the leggings.

I wore almost that exact same dress to my first day of kindergarten! I had a red one, a yellow one, and a green one and I thought they were the best dresses ever!
