Autumn light at one of Denver's many, many small lakes...this one we call "secret lake", though I'm not sure why.
Sometimes you hit the time, the day, and the season all just right...
...this was one of those times.
Q is fond of forging makeshift swords out of stripped-down sticks lately.
I love to watch her theatrical renderings.
Just beautiful - both the girl and the place.

<3 ! Lovely
beautiful post....that little girl is sure going to have lots of beautiful pictures of her childhood when she grows up!! she is so lucky ...your love for her shines with ever frame x
Love all these photos, so beautiful and Q is cute as always! :)
oops. my comment in the prior post was actually intended for this one, somehow it all ran together :)
What a beautiful post! Thank you. You know how to see beauty. That is such a gift!
Maia, stunning images, I absolutely love these and how you have processed them. A sword huh? A girl after my own heart. Wish I lived closer so I could teach her the fine art of fencing.
Beautiful post! And I love Q's outfit! Maia, where did you find that top and the boots? Love it!
Yanyan - the top (which I love) is from l'atelier de marie et rose-alice. The boots were from a local resale store.
btw Yoli, I dearly wish you lived closer, as well, and not just for your fencing skills ;) But you know this.
And re the outfit, forgot to say the striped bloomers (which we have worn into the ground this year) are from the VDJ summer '10 collection, and the tights from GAP, Bleeker collection, I think.
Elle porte magnifiquement n'importe quelle couleur cette petite. Le noir lui va à ravir. C'est vrai qu'on peut sentir toute l'admiration que tu lui portes!
Ah! You were right across the street from our casa! Fantastic shots!
Hi there!
I just can't stop reading your posts. You capture such vivid and beautiful photos.
Such a beautiful post! Q looks like a cartoon figure :)
