Monday

We have owned our current home for a little over two years now, and we are still finding surprises. Last week, behind the gate, behind the row of old-growth rose bushes, tucked into the inconspicuous shadows, we found this little row of muguet - lilly of the valley. My mother's favorite flowers. So sweet, so perfect, tucked away like a small gift just waiting for us to find it and be enchanted.

I love the embroidery on the shirt...my mother brought my children something similar back from Chile.

What a beautiful hidden gift !
I just love this post ! But I lost my objectivity on this particular flower ;-)
I heard muguet/ lys dans la vallée is also known as "Lady's tears" . They were the Eve's tears when she was driven from the Garden of Eden...

Anne, I never knew that other name! It's lovely, though. And a beautiful story.
