Pssst.....
Just a note to say that you can find little Q and her lettuce on Mindful Mama today, illustrating a story about kids, kitchen gardens, and the pleasure of vegetables, written by Melissa B. Williams. Go see! It's a great story (and a great magazine!).

Q has a face that could stop traffic.

Oh I loved it. We garden here in our kitchen since nothing grows outside. What a treat to see an article with the lovely picture of Q.

Q's face does, in fact, frequently stop traffic. I wish I were joking! She's the eighth wonder of the world, I think.

I just love that article on kids and gardening, because I think it's so true, and such an important thing for them to be a part of. I could not have thought of a story I'd rather have Q's face associated with! I said "yes" as soon as they told me what it was about. My daughter started sniffing mint from our garden the first few days home from the orphanage, and would often carry around a little fistful of mint or thyme, inhaling from it now and then. It made me so glad to see her doing that, especially after 11 months cooped up in an orphanage crib, with little or no exposure to the outdoors.

Oh it's so cute you both wear matching outfits! I'm sure she'll grow up to be as stunning as her mom :) considering how many heads she is turning right now!
