Saturday

I went through many photos trying to choose just the perfect one to describe how I feel on the eve of mother's day, this, my first year as a mother. In the end, I chose the simplest one.
This is my daughter, my Q, that faint smile of happiness that plays always on her lips, playing in the garden. Behind her, on a picnic blanket, my husband reading his paper in the spring sunshine.
And this, the photo I think I always use for mother's day, because it describes so perfectly the lifetime of love I've lived with my own mother. This is me and her in the desert outside Moab, Utah. No words, really, are necessary.

Happy mother's day to all my blog friends...I wish you love.

Ta. And many happy returns of the (belated) day to you, too. May you swim in love as in the ocean, wide, deep, and full with dreams.
