Wednesday's Corner View: "Sweets"
These may not be sweets in the edible sense, but they are certainly sweets in the sense of a rare treat for purely self-indulgent purposes! Two little handmade candy-boxed flowers from emersonmade.

If you've been around on the internet lately, you will most likely have heard of indie accessory designer emersonmade. Her site is luscious, and each of her little handmade linen flower accessories a confection in itself.
I ordered two "ballet dahlias" for the hair, but naturally Q got hold of them and transformed them into her own kind of accessory.

And wouldn't you know it, they looks so perfectly lovely on her that I didn't have the heart to deny her.
Ah well... maybe she'll let me wear one of them from time to time.

ps - they're even more delightful when pleasantly rumpled!

What pretty flowers! Clever idea. I have a sweet spicy child who is forever wanting to pick flowers and wear them in her hair, I think something like this would be perfect for her. Am off to se the site!

Hi again,
I decided to venture into the Gap to peruse the sale rack for this lovely shirt. I didn't end up finding it, but much to my amazement hanging there was one, last, returned, super sale, size 5, Stella Band Jacket! Yeah! So thanks! Looks great on Lea and she loves it :)

Cara, I'm so glad that the "wild goose chase" lead you to a supersale Stella band jacket ;) Worth it in the end, in that case! The embroidered blouse is a lovely one, and I'm glad to have it, but peasant blouses are rarely out of fashion and there are plenty of nice ones out there. The band jacket is very unique, and it makes me happy each and every time I look at ours. I never put it in the closet - it stays in plain sight in the livingroom. A true objet d'art ;)
