I've been posting a lot of NYC street shots lately, so for this corner view I thought I'd revisit some of my favorite China street photos, since I'd have to say China was my favorite place for street photography.
We traveled through three different cities in different parts of China, and there were seemingly endless wonderful street scenes to photograph.
These are just a few of my very favorite.
I've posted them all before, so forgive me if I'm being redundant, but I feel like it's been a while, and some of my newer blog readers will have fresh eyes for these.
Perhaps because I was on the verge of becoming a mother myself, I never tired of seeing parents with their children.
These two boys might just rank as my very favorite.

Oh, the colors in that last one, and that Coke bottle--what a capture. But I agree with you about the photo of the two boys; it's pure magic! xo
The little girl with short hair who is in the white dress could easily be QQ a few year's from now! Same grace in her carriage and same neck!

I got a kick out of all the wedding and fashion photo shoots that were staged on Shamian Dao. Of course, the rest of Guangzhou wasn't quite as picturesque.

LIke that first photo, of the photographers and the leaning lady. Cool shot. Also the look of those pink shoes on the girl with pigtails sitting with the old men.
This confirms you are an AMAZING PERSON. To travel around the world so often. Definitely loving the photos, the children squatting. aw.

To all those who mentioned the similarity between this girl and Q, I noticed that too this time when I uploaded it. With the pixie cut, the toothpick body and the graceful, spirited walk she has, she does make me imagine what the Q might look like in a few years. Sigh!
FDChief, no, the rest of Guangzhou certainly doesn't share the same colonial splendor, BUT...I have to say I was entranced by the bladerunner-esque strata of that city, particularly that absolutely un-frickin-believable highway system that they kept building higher and higher and higher! Straight out of sci-fi, if you're not accustomed to the scale of China.
So glad you posted them again. Yes the one of two boys is really nice.

That was pretty amazing; I'd spent a bit of time in eastern Europe so I was famailiar with the Soviet Modern school of public construction. Debra was pretty awestruck.
We were both impressed with the suicidal bravery of both drivers and pedestrians. South China appears to be performing genetic winnowing through traffic. Terrifying.
Amazing shots! I could only imagine all the photo ops there!

Yep the little girl could easily be confused with your lovely Q. My favorite remains the manly man with the fan.
