Wednesday

This is me on a horse named Daisy in front of a place called the Honeymoon Cabin in the mountains of Victoria. This was several years back when I was doing some adventure travel writing...I know, tough job, but somebody's gotta!
On this wonderful trip, I got to ride headlong through the dense, dappled forests on horseback, crossing deep creeks at a dead gallop and leaping fallen trees. I got to sleep alone in a sheephearder's cabin with a tin roof and no electricity, and shower in a makeshift lean-to under the eucalyptus branches, with no one around to see. I got to fly fish from the banks of quiet brown rivers among tree ferns taller than my head, and watch the wild white cockatoos startle out of the hedges at sunset. Once, I even got to emcee a dirt bike ralley...but that's another story for another time.
