I've had a regular babysitter this week for a couple of hours a day (she's wonderful. Sadly, she's moving to Aspen tomorrow) which has afforded me a little extra studio time. I was doing some practice sketching when I came up with this one, that I particularly like. This was inspired (for those of you who don't know it) by the photos and clothing designs of Charlotte at
VDJ. The clothes and photos are inspired by the beautifully minimalist style of her sisters, Jeanne and Clemence. The blog is a daily stop of mine and always provides some inspiration.
Because this sketch was inspired by Charolotte's artistry, I owe the inspiration to her, and this sketch is not for sale - just a page in my sketchbook of which I'm fond. She was nice enough to give me permission to post it.
