You know how much I love Italy...
This white serie is lovely.
Can't wait to see the others.

It is such a pleasure to come back after a long absence to a blog like your: So many beautiful treasures to look at and discover. I am so tempted by that side bar of yours, all those wonderful blogs calling out to give them a look! I shall have to come back soon, thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing your world with us. I feel priviledged being invited in.

Italy.
I have an Italian past.
Where in Italy were these pictures taken, I wonder. The altare della patria (the "Wedding Cake" at Piazza Venezia in Rome?), somewhere in the deep south? The Bocca della Verita'? Intriguing. Do you know?

The Wedding Cake, yes! And the second one is a monastery outside of Siena, though I wish I could remember the name...we went there to sketch when I was taking a painting workshop a few years ago. Such a peaceful place, I can still feel the stillness and simplicity of it.
