Wednesday

So, my husband and my Q left town early this morning, bound for the Sand Dunes national monument. It will be Q's first camping trip. I am too overloaded with work to leave town right now, so I am at home without my loved ones for the very first time!
I am missing my Little terribly much, her long feet and soft cheeks, her rusty giggle and the way she likes to lick my shoulder, and so I thought I'd post these sweet pictures of her at the airport waiting for her LaoLao to arrive.

Missing you so, little Hoo!

oh....mom's love... I was away from Landon for one night during these 19 months when we went to China. I had to give a lecture in Beijing for one day and I missed him so much, I think he was ok but I was not...

Hi Maia,

sorry to read that you couldn't join them in this trip. I'm sure Mike is going to take beautiful pictures for you.
I wish them to have a nice trip and good luck to you.
Lots of X and o.

this must be hard! years ago, really many years ago i didn't really understand why a girlfriend could not leave her 3 years old son for three days. i thought she was overprotecting. in the meantime - now self a mom of a two year old girl, i understand.
she eats Manner Schnitten! These are made here in Austria!! Can you buy it in the U.S.?
she soon will be back :-)

Yes, it's hard to understand until you're a mom.
Those wafer cookies are a favorite of mine and Q's, and we snap them up when we can find them! They're not common here, but you can sometimes find them in specialty food stores, and at the airport, evidently!

Une première séparation, c'est toujours un peu douloureux mais elle a l'air ravie....de belles pensées pour toi.
