Saturday

Life has been so busy this past year or so that many a gorgeous day has passed that I have just not had the time to process photos. They just keep piling up. Some of them i just have to eject, but this set I have saved against a day when I'd have time to post them. These are too good to miss.
A hike on Shrine Pass outside of Redcliff, CO, early last summer.

Question 1. Which camera do you use for these insanely beautiful photographs (am researching cameras to get something decent).
Question 2. Is that a tattoo??? What does it say?!
Q was made for you, and you for her.

Hi Shaista! It's a Nikon D200. I also shoot with an Olympus E-PL3 when I'm traveling light (it's a jazzed-up point-and-shoot with interchangeable lenses, which is nice.)

And yes, it's a tattoo that says Desert Empire, for a region of the Mojave desert south of Death Valley, just a place I used to love to road trip, camp and photograph.

That looks lovely and like it was wicked fun. But I think the snapshot I love best is that sleepy little-girl face complete with fingers in mouth. Boy howdy do I recognize that one.

You're a pretty good mommy to carry the tired Girl down the hill all that way.

It is a bit grey and rainy today here and so nice to see something so fresh and beautiful. Can smell the crisp mountain air from your post. Love love.
