I know none of the details, except that the woman in this shot is identified as Jane Frazee, one of the Frazee Sisters, a singing vaudeville act of the 1940s, who later became a prolific musical and western actress, as well as working with Abbott and Costello. Since my dad was 20 years my mother's elder, I know little about his young life, and can therefore not tell you how this photo came to be.

Isn't it so hard not to be able to ask? That's so hard for me...
Honestly, Liza, it didn't occur to me to ask about his young life when I was young myself. Do I regret not having asked more questions while he was still alive? Yes. But that's life. Young people are so very egocentric. It's only with age that most of us become curious.
Your family is worthy of a novel. I think you have confirmed my mum's theory that I was born old, since I always ask, much to the annoyance of my parents.

Oh WOW just WOW!
Same thing happened with me and my grandfather...A very interesting man, but died when I was 11 and I wish I could go back and ask him all about his childhood.
One can certainly see where you get your artistic talent!
